Local SEO

Get into the top three on Google Maps, across your whole service area

For service businesses like home services, wellness, hospitality and multi-location brands. In local search, everything comes back to one question: does your Business Profile show up in the map pack when someone nearby needs you?

Who it is for

  • You get most of your work from people searching "[service] near me" or "[service] in [city]".
  • You rank well near your office but disappear a few miles out.
  • You have more than one location and some of them are underperforming.
  • You have tried an agency before and could never tell what they actually did.

What is included

  • Business Profile setup and cleanup: categories, services, description, photos and posts.
  • A Core 30 page plan, written and published in priority order.
  • Geo pages for the towns and neighborhoods that matter, once the foundation is ranking.
  • LocalBusiness schema and internal linking between service and location pages.
  • Monthly map rank scans across a grid around each location.
  • Review and citation checks, plus a written monthly report.
The Core 30

The order matters

  1. Fix the profile first

Categories, services, description and phone setup. Nothing else works if the profile is wrong.

  2. Build topical relevance

One strong page for each category and core service, then supporting content that answers the questions customers ask before they call.

  3. Then expand geographically

Once roughly a third of your map grid ranks in the top three, I add content for the areas where you are still weak. Doing this too early is a common way to waste a budget.

Multi-location gutter company

A four-location home services business that needed to show up in the Google Maps pack across every service area, not just near one office.

What I did

  • Core 30 build: category and service pages mapped to each Business Profile
  • Location pages and geo content added once topical relevance was in place
  • Monthly map rank scans across all four locations to steer the next round of content

Common questions

What is the Core 30?

It is the framework I use for local clients. Every page on a local business site should help the Google Business Profile rank. The Core 30 is the set of 30 to 40 pages that do that: one for each Business Profile category and service, plus supporting pages. Once those pages establish topical relevance, I add geographic content to reach more of your service area.

How long does local SEO take to show results?

Business Profile fixes can move map rankings within weeks. The Core 30 content usually takes a few months to build and index, and the bigger gains in map coverage tend to show from month three onward. I show you the map scans every month so you can see it happen.

Do you work with multi-location businesses?

Yes. I track each location on its own map grid, give each one its own pages and signals, and report on every location separately so one strong office does not hide a weak one.

Does the service area setting in my Business Profile help me rank?

No. The service area tells Google where you work, but it is not a ranking factor. Rankings across a wider area come from relevance: pages about your services and the places you serve, plus a properly set up profile.

Want to see where you rank right now?

Send me your business name and main service. I will tell you where you show up on the map today and what I would fix first.
